Governance Structure
The VISION governance model consists of four committees organized in a hierarchical reporting structure, with the HPC Executive Oversight Committee providing direction and oversight for all subordinate committees and working groups.Reporting Structure

Texas A&M University System High Performance Computing (HPC) Executive Oversight Committee
Provides executive-level strategic leadership, governance, and oversight of the VISION Supercomputer and any future HPC assets within the Texas A&M University System. Responsibilities include strategic planning and priority alignment, review and approval of budgets and major investments, and ensuring compliance with institutional policy and external regulations, demonstrating computational capacity comparable to that of major pharmaceutical environments.
Vision Operations Committee
Ensures the reliable, secure, and efficient operation of the VISION Supercomputer. The committee coordinates technical operations, maintenance, user support, and system optimization to maximize performance and uptime while safeguarding institutional data and user trust.
Vision Research Computing Advisory Committee
Provides strategic guidance, community representation, and advisory support for research computing infrastructure, software, and services. The committee ensures that research computing resources support innovative, sustainable, and interdisciplinary research across the Texas A&M System, effectively meeting the diverse needs of the faculty and user community.
Vision Project Review and Allocation Committee
Evaluates proposals from faculty and research teams for access to VISION Supercomputer resources and makes decisions on resource allocations based on project merit and institutional priorities. The committee ensures equitable, transparent, and merit-based allocation of computational resources.
