VISION live training sessions are offered free of charge to all Texas A&M University System members and are conducted via Zoom for convenient remote participation. Topics will include introductory sessions on VISION, as well as specialized courses on Deep Learning, Distributed AI Models, and setting up Python Environments.
Introduction to Computing on VISION
10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. CSTThis training session provides a foundational overview of the VISION high-performance computing cluster, covering essential topics such as system access, hardware specifications (including NVIDIA H200 GPUs and NVLink connectivity), and navigating the Open OnDemand portal. Participants will learn best practices for data management, file transfers, and working with containers and software modules, as well as how to submit and monitor jobs using Slurm and cluster utilities. By the end of this course, users will have the practical knowledge needed to efficiently run computational workloads on VISION.
